About Us: Established in 1972, Winchester Troop 56 has been a beacon of character development, leadership training, and outdoor exploration for generations of young scouts in Clark County and surrounding communities. Our troop is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where boys can learn, grow, and thrive under the guidance of dedicated leaders and mentors.

Our Mission: To instill values of leadership, responsibility, and self-reliance in our scouts while fostering a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. Through engaging activities, hands-on learning experiences, and meaningful community service projects, we empower our scouts to become confident, capable, and compassionate individuals.

What We Do:

• Hiking & Backpacking: Lace up your boots and hit the trails with Troop 56! From leisurely hikes through the scenic Gorge to challenging backpacking expeditions in the backcountry, we offer a wide range of outdoor adventures for scouts of all skill levels.
• Camping: Experience the thrill of sleeping under the stars and communing with nature during our regular camping trips. Whether it’s pitching tents, building campfires, or cooking over an open flame, Troop 56 scouts learn valuable outdoor skills while creating lasting memories with their fellow troop members.
• STEM Activities: Dive into the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, and math with Troop 56’s STEM program. From high-flying fun to wilderness survival classes, we offer hands-on STEM activities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in our scouts.
